The garden, near dusk

It snowed today.

We haz snowwwsss!

Oh hey, forget the baker with the sugar shaker, forget the softly sifting flakes. Somebody up there is hurling fistfuls of flakes at the ground--big old clumps of snow, falling thick as can be. It's so quiet--everything's hushed and still. Yeah, Sunday after Christmas, but even what little traffic noise there is is muted. It's gorgeous, and I'm happy with my feet tucked up under the blanket on the couch where I can watch the window, a hot cup of cocoa to warm my hands and a few tabs full of fic to browse through.
