We watch nothing live
Apr. 28th, 2017 10:15 amunless it's PBS, and as I was FF-ing through the commercials on the most recently DVR'd Criminal Minds, I got a flash of a familiar face, and backed up to see what's going on.
Kim Rhodes and Jim Beaver are guesting on the most recent episode of Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, episode title, Blowback. From the brief clips, Kim, looking every inch the high-ranking HBIC, has got her fierce on. And Jim's looking very distinguished, competent corporate or Fed-ly. I might have to watch this one.

Can't always get what you want, J2, R
Aug. 1st, 2016 09:08 pmThis assaulted me today and insisted on being written. wc: 2186. It has nothing at all to do with anything I have written, nor anything I am writing, or plan to write in the future. In all probability, this is all of it there will ever be. Thanks to

Pairing: Jared/Jensen
Rating: R
Word count: 2,200
Warning/spoilers: A/B/O universe, dystopia AU
Disclaimers: I own nothing, this is pure fiction written just for fun. Please don’t sue.
Summary: Jared and Jensen sit down for a conversation
( Two men faced each other in the gloom of a room shuttered against afternoon sun, one relaxed on the sofa, the other cheeking the edge of the desk. Sounds of a party outdoors, laughter of children and adults, the splash of someone jumping into the pool, and the hum and babble of conversation filtered through the closed windows. )

Summary: More Than Us continues Jared and Jensen's story as they try to raise their children, now teenagers, under the constant shadow of the Department of Reproduction's oppressive regime. They've been careful to stay out of the limelight, but trouble finds them anyway when Mac, their eldest, discovers for himself the injustices of the ceiver system. He joins the anti-Repro movement, not fully understanding the possible cost of rebellion for himself, his friends, and his family.
More Than Us is a sequel to 2011's Big Bang story, More Than Words , and the timestamp, What Was Lost.
For those who have read neither, here's some background: Declining fertility has predicted possible human extinction. Science has worked for decades to discover the causes and possible treatment for the difficulties of becoming pregnant and carrying a pregnancy to term, with no success in sight.
A small percentage of boys has been discovered to be capable of conceiving and carrying successful pregnancies; all boys are tested in their twelfth year, and those who are positive are taken into government custody, educated and trained in their new way of life. At eighteen, each is assigned to the man who will father the children he will bear.
There is no reliable comparable test for girls, though determined efforts continue to develop them.
Jensen missed his testing; his status was discovered by accident when he was an adult. He was assigned to Jared, and the story of how they came together and Jensen's difficulty accepting his new reality and his children is told in More Than Words .
More Than Us continues their story. The children are all teenagers. Jared and Jensen are both professionally successful and still deeply in love with each other. They have their happily ever after. What could possibly go wrong?
