This is the Sheaffer Balance fountain pen, in the "Aspen" colorway, a limited edition, gorgeous thing of cobalt and bright topaz glints in a dark amber resin, with a No.6 two-tone gold fine "Feathertouch" nib. I found it on deep discount and grabbed it, and OH and I counted it as my Christmas, birthday, Mothers' Day, anniversary, and whatever other gift-giving occasion gift for that year. It balances beautifully in the hand with the cap posted, and lays down a perfect line of ink, even though it's a nail and has practically no flex at all.

The Hermit is "my" tarot card, the first image I search out in a deck to begin deciding if I want to own or use the deck. I love pulling the hermit card from several decks and comparing components as the artists interpret them. There is not, to date, a Muppets tarot deck unfortunately; this drawing is an art piece. But how can anybody resist Kermit Hermit?

This scene from AHBL2 has always affected me deeply. Beaver said at the time that he and Jensen created something "almost Shakespearean" in intensity, and I agree. It was this scene I chose to end the first fic I'd ever written, (well, posted, anyway) consumes thee in this den, and posted in a previous livejournal account. I have no words for how deeply AHBL1 &2 still affect me, to this day.
