Sep. 28th, 2020 12:31 pmI have fallen down a new rabbit hole. What with no new SPN eps till, well, soon, now, but not for a long time, and the cancelling of Shadowhunters,
the only show that had potential for filling that gap in the "My Show!" category before it was cancelled all too soon. (You can watch the scene this still is from here: <a href=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ceD-UwyHkg0&t=4s>)
I stumbled across this.

and I seem to have fallen like a ton of bricks.
Long a fan of movies like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, House of Flying Daggers, and especially, Hero, with all the gorgeous billowing colored silks, flowing sleeves and expansive landscapes, how could I not fall for The Untamed (now on Netflix)? It's my zone-out place right now. It has incredibly beautiful locations, gorgeous sets, props, and costumes (the wigs alone are probably worth several fortunes!), and very pretty young men flying gracefully about and fighting with swords. The practical SFX are...not very good, but almost affectionately so, the plotlines apparently follow a recently published book based on folklore and legend. Honestly, I don't really care. The real world at present is unpleasant and disappointing. So just gimme the pretty and let me float on fantasy for a while.
