I've been smiling and nodding and grinning with glee catching up today on ye olde flist. Someone mentioned being at a premiere party with other fen, and remarked, "...on second watch," and I suddenly thought, <i>how long has it been</i> since there were episode-watching parties? And even more, when was the last episode that required an immediate second watch?
As a east-coaster I used to watch and record, have my private reaction, then rewatch my recorded ep and post online with a group of west-coasters while it aired, for shared flail and squee. That was a long, long time ago. It's been great today to see some of that excitement and pleasure in the show back again after last night.
I'm too excited to settle down to actual discussion yet. Just let me coast on the whee! for a bit.
