tea for me

Cold from hell still hanging on. Husband went to get more cough syrup but before he did, he left me a thermos of tea and my handthrown potbellied mug with sgraffitoed spirals and the thick, strappy handle. We found it at the Allanstand Craft Shop, http://www.southernhighlandguild.org/pages/guild-shops/allanstand-craft-shop.php for the Southern Highland Crafts Guild at the Folk Art Museum near Asheville. My mug is a happy reminder of all the expeditions we made in All Souls Crescent, downtown, and at the Folk Art Museum. I miss Asheville.

I feels ya pain, I'm still recovering from swine flu and the constant coughing is driving me batshit. I even popped a blood vessel in my eye from coughing. Honey is supposed to be good for coughs and sore throats so maybe if you use it to sweeten your tea.

Colds tend to settle in my chest--lifelong smoker until 2004-ish. I'm chasing the remnants of the cough out, still, but it's going.

He is a treasure, he spoils me rotten. I think I'll keep him!
