Three positive things meme

I have three positive things today! I may not sustain it for five days in a row, but that's no reason not to post them if I got 'em, today, right?

Thing one: A great disturbance in the force promises the possibility of visible aurora this evening. I've never seen the Northern Lights, and I've always wanted to, so even the possibility is exciting. Wish me (and the upper half of the continental US) luck tonight!

Thing two: meus_venator has posted a new story, The Jared, http://meus-venator.livejournal.com/69125.html Cracky, unexpected, and sweet, it's a lot of fun.

Thing three: someone reminded me the other day of the Hunter's bracelet I put together seasons ago, with Sam's knife from the Pilot, the Colt, the Jerusalem cross from Truckzilla's weapons cache and the dreamcatcher from the Impala's weapons cache, the "salt & burn" charms, the holy water flask, shotgun salt shell, Bobby's book of lore, and Dean's lighter, among other symbols. I haven't been wearing it for a while. I should do that.

And the Northern Lights are awesome, you can actually hear them singing/humming when they are really in their groove.

And your bracelet is lovely! I have a problem wearing bracelets now, I'm on the computer so much I find they bother my wrists. But I can still admire them with the best of them and this has so much great work in it.! The lighter, the flask and the Colt!!!! WOW!

Thanks. I don't wear it often, and only when I'm not on the computer. Putting it together was a lot of fun. I did kind of geek out about the knife--close as I could get to Sam's knife, from the pilot.

I really hope you get to see the lights - try to get pictures! I've always, always wanted to see the Aurora Australis and I'm heartbroken that are supposed be visible from the east coast tonight but I live dab bang in the middle of the city of Sydney so I have zero hope because of all of the city lights. Pooooo!

Meus_venator's story cracked me up no end. I want to own a sex shop now so that I can call it the name she came up with :D

Hmm, three good things...
The sun is shining and it's a warm day which is a welcome relief after almost two weeks of continuous rain and cold.

My best friend told me that he has an enormous pile of various DVD series he got for my viewing pleasure because he knows I can't afford to get them for myself - yippee! (He really is just 6'3 of pure sweetness)

The expensive ice cream I love so much but can never afford to buy went on sale and I bought three tubs! Worth the ice cream headache and extra kilos I'll pack on.

It seems I'm very easy to please :D

Hey, happy is happy, and we need to grab it where we find it. Ice cream sure makes me happy! And free dvds for the viewing? Yay!

No luck tonight with the viewing. But I've not given up hope. Someday they'll be visible here--or I'll vacation further north, maybe.

The Jared is fun!

The bracelet was so much fun to put together. There's a St. Christopher's medal, since they travel so much. And I used a St. Michael's medal, patron of policemen and soldiers. But well, Michael turned out not to be very kind. I need to find a St. Eustace's medal, "Patronage: against fire, difficult situations. For fire prevention, firefighters, hunters, hunting, huntsmen, torture victims, and trappers." That sounds really useful and appropriate, right? Trouble is, I don't think anybody ever made a St. Eustace medal. So far it's a fruitless quest.

I'm going to finally get a chance to complete my collection of some shows see shows that everyone else has seen but aren't on free to air TV here. I'm getting Leverage, some more Walking Dead, the season I'm missing from Queer as Folk, and also Orphan Black, Orange is the New Black, Black Mirror...I'm seeing a theme of colours here, hmmm, I wonder what that means? lol

I read The Jared last night and it's hilarious, such a weird concept but worked so well!

I'm surprised there's no medal for St Eustace, you'd think there would be one for firefighters. If I ever come across one I'll let you know!

That charm bracelet is so gorgeous! Look at all those amazing charms. :D And fingers crossed for your aurora! I've only seen it once, in Finland, but it was amazing and I would jump at the chance to see it again.

All my votes go to Orphan Black (I love it and the actors so, so much) and Leverage (I love the writers and the actors this---------------------------------much!). Probably two of my all-time favorites. I still miss Leverage. I want new eps!!
