Date: 2015-07-05 08:53 pm (UTC)10. A subject I feel pretty passionate about--usually some social inequality. Especially one I see written about like it's trivial.

Date: 2015-07-05 08:59 pm (UTC)11. I'd like to heavily edit More Than Words. It was my first J2, and heavy with social cause, and I tried to cram more info in than was good for the story.

Date: 2015-07-05 09:08 pm (UTC)He turned to find nobody there until his gaze dropped a little. Short, and apparently nearsighted, she'd bumped into him, and she peered up through her glasses now and chirped, "Sorry!"
He couldn't help smiling. Seeing she hadn't alienated him by trying to run him down, she peered at one of the papers that were slipping out of her grip--there were a lot of papers, and her hands were small. He helped scoop up the fallen ones, while she asked, "Building C, Suite 217?"
He helped her square edges on the stack of paper, then turned her by the shoulder to face in the proper direction. "You're in the right building. Take the elevator up, turn right when the doors open, it's the fourth office door down."
The worried furrow between her brows smoothed out and a smile creased her cheeks--the right one dimpled. "Thank you!" She set off toward the elevator, turning back with a grin after a few steps. "I hope nobody bigger than me tries to mow you down today!"

Date: 2015-07-05 09:37 pm (UTC)Listen, what goes on in my usual mess of fic inspiration is probably, no almost certainly, more weird than most. My brain goes offline when I try to conjure "weirder than that." Ack, this answer sucks. See, I may *read* bestiality and deep D/s, or Bondage, or characters as cars, or vegetables, or gerbils. I just can't *think* of that kind of stuff on my own. Sorry?

Date: 2015-07-05 10:06 pm (UTC)I also hear you on the sensory detail thing. I've been guilty of that myself on more than one occasion. Sometimes, it's just fun to let go and wallow in it, though.

Date: 2015-07-06 01:14 am (UTC)I'm sure there are more, but this is sort of at the top of my head right now:
Fatigue should have him falling on his face by now, but it didn't help. It still felt like ants were moving inside his skin, between him and the air. His gut twisted, and he lashed out, as he hadn't ever done before, with his fists. The tree stood in his way, thick trunk wrapped in rough bark, and he would batter his way through it, he would--
