The temps dropped twenty degrees in less than 24 hours. We were sweltering before, but there is a *definite* chill in the air now--plus, rather than sunset at 9PM, it's already getting dark by seven. Winter is a-comin' in, as they say, like a freaken freight train. So I'll enjoy the posies while they last.
It really is. I love to see the color change and the shadows shift as the sun moves down the garden. It's getting cooler though, and soon the vine will be bare and brown. Must soak in the sight while it's here.
That is a beautiful and relaxing sight; I could do with a few more of those myself! I didn't totally abdicate on my container garden this year, but it's definitely not as colorful as previous years. I've got some ideas for next year, though. If they come to fruition, I'll make sure to post them where you can see.
