Describe a scent that you love or loathe
Arousing? music--unpredictably, either classical or movie soundtrack or folk
Creepy sensations - when you don't notice it's gotten dark and the windows are uncovered, and anything could be looking in at you, unseen. Ditto cracked doors--wide open or closed, please. Nothing peeping!
Describe a scent that you love or loathe
Love - cut grass, wood shavings, steeped and scraped vanilla bean, coffee
Loathe - hyacinths, indoors. Outdoors, okay, but indoors they suffocate me

Describe a visual experience that dazzled you
Talking with a friend, and we stepped outside in the sun. I turned to look at her and saw her aura: she was outlined in cobalt blue sort of pulsing off her, and outside of that was a vivid pink streaming around her in an unbroken current. Never happened before, nor again, and that day had no particular import.
Describe an acquired or unusual taste
Fernet. Tastes like incense smells
Describe a sound that frightens or comforts you
Frightens me - windstorms rattling the house
Comforts me - cat purrs

Date: 2017-01-16 04:43 am (UTC)Oh, the aura things sounds amazing. Isn't that wild. I've had two very specific pychic experiences in my life. Wish I knew how it worked so I could tune into it more.
I grew up in the country and our house had big windows in the living room with no drapes so I got used to it, but after moving into town, I understand. Still, I can have the second floor windows uncovered because I'm sure no one can see in, but Scruffy hates it.
And now I want to try fernet as well.

Dew, is when the wind is so strong here in Austin that it shakes the house. It happens daily, I swear! You'd just hate it here! But don't worry, I'd protect you. ;D
Just thought I'd stick my head in and say, "Hi new friend!"
HIIIII!!

Date: 2017-01-22 06:49 pm (UTC)Yeah, our old brick two-story built on a granite shelf used to rattle when semis rolled by on the highway half a block away. Couldn't keep a picture frame straight for more than a day. And the wind--we got the edges of most hurricanes--you could feel the house *lean* in the prevailing direction.
We get gales off the sound now, and our little one-story just hunkers down and digs in its claws. Who cares if the carport and porch roofs ripple and rattle? No great loss if they go!

Date: 2017-01-22 06:57 pm (UTC)I would not go out of my way to track down fernet, but a sip on offer reminded me of the way incense smells. And I kept waiting for the 'meaning' of the aura-glimpse to make itself known...nada. I've sort of come to think of it as a trick of the light. Would be nice if it *meant* something, you know?
