Yes, it is an oldie, c. 1967. If you've ever been a Paul Newman fan, Cool Hand Luke is a classic. It's about the Florida prison system in the 40s and 50s. It's amazing character work by Martin and George Kennedy and Newman himself, plus a cast of actors who collectively did an awful lot of film and tv work in the last half of the 20th century.
If you can rent it or stream it, it's certainly well worth watching. Not as pretty as Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, but a Newman classic.
