Heh. Instead of firing up the laptop, I spent morning coffee time studying the diet plan for the week before a procedure being done next week. Not as horrible as I'd expected, at least up to 48 hours prior. I can do this.
Caught up on email and flist over breakfast, then showered and dressed. Cleaned bathroom, made bed. Thought about sweeping bedroom carpet, and didn't--that dirt's not going anywhere. It'll be there tomorrow.
Former neighbor dropped by. She was awake before dawn, planning her gardens. Her new house has an actual *yard*, and she's eager to play in the dirt. She brought her phone by. She has a newish smart phone, but she's not picking up on the tech, so OH walked her through secondary steps--they've already done the primary ones, and she's doing well with those. Slow steps.
I had picked up some leather thong lacing a few weeks ago, and picked out a handful of pendants I've worn strung on black cording. I chose the pewter medallion with the tree, crescent moon, and owl, and the bronze Seal of Solomon pendants to restring on the leather. I didn't want to cut the cording, so I could reuse it in case the new look didn't work out, so I spent some time picking the knots apart. Getting the lengths right was a bit tricky, but I like the way they look.
M and OH went out to look at and discuss the container garden plantings--flower fever is catching! He consulted her on when to cut back the fern garden.
We had lunch--turkey, and provolone with dark green lettuce, with horseradish-mustard sauce, on freaky *white* bread. No nuts or seeds this week, plus added gluten--bring me ALL the cupcakes! I tell you what, all this flour, plus no NSAIDs this week...it's gonna be a little rocky.
The bookcases in their boxes have been lying in front of the breakfront in the dining room for a couple of months, now, waiting to be assembled and installed--the living room needs to be rearranged, the tv, stand, components and cable hookup need to be relocated, and the futon adopted out before we can install the bookcases (I should forbid *any* outdoor shenanigans before the bookshelves are in place!). The long stack of boxes prevents opening the breakfront doors, and there were still candles and candlesticks from *Christmas* on the table, plus stemware and plates, vases and cut glass bowls that had accumulated from use and not been put away. So I had OH skid the boxes enough to open the doors and put everything away, then skid the boxes back so we can sit at the table and get to the window to open the blinds during the day.
I put clean laundry away, fiddled at editing some recent photos, checked email and flist, and caught up elsewhere on line. Read fic. Had supper: leftover turkey-beef meatballs and mushrooms in garlic mushroom gravy over brown rice, side of fresh green beans steamed, still a bit crunchy, with sea salt--NOM!
Dishes done and put away, kitchen wiped down, then TV till bedtime. Tonight's lineup: DS9, Stranger Things, Dark Matter, and HtTYDragon: Race to the Edge on Netflix. OH off to bed, and I settled in with the internetz--Tumblr, email, flist, fic, until I was sleepy, around 2AM. Early for me.

Yes. Yes, he is. He's just averse to me having bookshelves, for some reason. He keeps finding other tasks to do to avoid the rearranging, building, and installing. (stamps foot) No playing outside till the shelves are done!
