So smart, this boy, the concepts, ideas, connections flashing through his head faster than he can give them voice. He sometimes seems scattered, glib, funny, a bit clumsy, but I know how sharp he is. I know how cutting he can be, how that temper flares, and just as quickly collapses, how quick he aways needs forgiveness, reassurance. And always, underneath it all, beats a heart as big as oceans, big enough to hold the world. To those to whom he offers that heart--family, kids, friends, and closer--there could never be a better, more welcome warmth. My boy.
