Summary:

THEN: Science has worked for decades to reverse declining fertility. A small percentage of boys is found capable of successful pregnancy and birth; all boys are tested in their twelfth year. Those who test positive are taken into government custody, educated and trained in their new way of life, and assigned at eighteen to men who will father their children. Jensen missed his testing; his status was accidentally discovered when he was an adult. He was assigned to Jared, and the story of how they came together, and Jensen's difficulty accepting his new reality and his children is told in More Than Words.

More Than Us continued their story. The children are all teenagers. Jared and Jensen are both professionally successful and still deeply in love with each other. An increasing percentage of the population believe the government's policy is wrong. An underground resistance against the Department of Reproduction is growing, and Jared and Jensen's family will become involved.

NOW: Every rebellion exacts a price. When Jared is swept up in a raid by Repro and disappears, that cost becomes harder with every passing day. Jensen is left alone to keep their family together while people he loves, and some he never knew, are working to change the world and find the missing. When Jared is finally found and reunited with his husband and family, Jared is a changed man. Scarred, broken, brutalized in terrible ways, how can he live with what happened to him while he was imprisoned without trial or hope? Is he strong enough to recover, to reclaim his life? Has living with no news and little hope for so long changed Jensen? Can they find each other and believe in love again?

Strangely enough I just reread this verse a few nights ago. I was left at the end wondering what happens next and lo and behold here it is. :)

Very much looking forward to this when the AO3 link comes up. I have been fascinated with this world since the first story and it never fails to tweak in my mind when I think of my favourite stories.
