I'm intrigued by whatever the relationship is that Dean and Amara share, how it came to be, how deep their link from the mark goes, and what it will take to break Dean's thrall, if it can be broken.
I was almost unspoiled about Mark P.'s reprise of Lucifer, and oh boy I was not disappointed. I'm a big fan of Pellegrino, I think he's a far more subtle actor than he's often given credit for. He usually plays stock bad guys, and always brings a human reality to them, even while he exploits that to make those characters atavistically creepy.
I think he and Jared have very good chemistry onscreen as well--they play off each other effectively, raising the game for each other. It's fun to watch. But one little detail of Jared's performance made me smile and bounce a little--we got a Sam OTP! I'm not sure if that's ever happened before. But damn, it was every bit as effective as a Dean OTP.

I really liked this episode, and Sam's OPT was marvelous!

Date: 2015-12-11 01:21 pm (UTC)I never realised the chemestry between Jared and Mark on screan maybe I was allways taken too much by the story.
But now the two of them talking and at last in the cage... that was so great.
About Dean and Amara: did Dean belived for one minute someone as powerful as the darkness could be killed with a knife even if it was a demon killing knife?
Did Sam looked a little bit surpriesed to you too when Crowley talked about Amara saving Dean?
