I know I've been kinda scarce
Sep. 15th, 2016 10:08 amI'm sorry I haven't been around much. Truth is, I've been feeling pretty crappy for several weeks, now, and haven't felt up to engaging. The neighbors all think I'm a standoffish bitch (well...yeah. Little bit), but I haven't felt like being really present here, either. The lack of spoons came on slowly--so sneakily I didn't notice until the change was really apparent. Along with the pain and the eye issues, my blood sugar has sneaked up a mildly alarming level, so I'm making some lifestyle changes and hoping that will make the necessary difference.
Meanwhile, I'm reading, nodding, and cheering or sympathizing, my friends. Those reactions have just failed to materialize by keyboard, and I'm sorry. I'm working on it.

Date: 2016-09-25 04:49 am (UTC)I've been OK healthwise, but I haven't felt fannish at all since VanCon. Most days I haven even signed on to LJ. Sorry I wasn't here to give you some hugs.

Date: 2016-09-25 07:35 pm (UTC)I'm sorta getting back into things. Being pretty irritated with my neighbor, though, for reasons too lengthy to go into. But here's a minor one: do you remember my big deodar cedar in front, with the split trunk, one side of which swoops up? He's always putting his kids up there, as well as other kids, without asking. I don't want them up there. I don't have to have a reason.
He also asked if his live-in babysitter can park in the alley right behind my garage "when she needs to unload something." Told him occasionally that was OK, but there are lots of pot holes back there and it gets really muddy in the winter, so if she parks there a lot, it will make it worse. He deflected and said a neighbor further up might put in some gravel. Now, she parks there almost daily, and because he now puts his trash cans by his fence, she is forced to park even further out, and more than half her car is blocking my garage. Now, mind you, I can slip around to get in and out, but it still pisses me off. If my garage door worked, it probably wouldn't be an issue, unless she parked further back, then I really couldn't get out.
So, those are two stupidly minor things that are irritating me. Don't judge me. :)
