fufarawThe husband and I had planned to drive up the back road through the mountains, now that the ice has thawed off the dirt and gravel road, to take in the waterfalls, flush with snowmelt.
Unfortunately, the snowmelt and rain has resulted in a landslide in the area, destroying six houses and killing three people; ten are still unaccounted for.
It's a high price for beauty.
