Okay chirren, as my chorus coach used to call us, I think everybody who wanted to play has had their chance. Points to all who guessed correctly--you surprised me, some of you, with your recall. The unsolved quotes are:

2. "Got any (rubs fingers with thumb in vigorish gesture) water?" which is Ron Perlman in Ice Pirates, a hilarious cheesy favorite of OH's and mine, starring the late Robert Urich.

4. "I want you to try this Scotch. It's 42 years old."//"Old enough to be out on its own." from one of my all-time favorite movies, Local Hero. The first line is spoken by Gordon Urquhart, played by Denis Lawson, more famous for portraying Wedge Antilles in some movie series or other. The second line is spoken by Peter Riegert, who also stars in #7.

7. "Take my arm, Sam. It's OK, you can touch me. A hundred and twenty pounds of pure gold, that's me. Come children, come, let's put the bubbie to bed." from Crossing Delancey.

10. "We're here for the Krites." Critters, wherein the incomparable Terrence Mann instructed us all in the uber sexiness of swagger with a big gun and a long coat. (It's always all about the coat)

13. "Quiet, barnacle. It was those landlubbers that led us into this trap". The Sword and the Sorcerer What can I say? Lee Horsley's mustache, man. Magnum PI levels of mustachery.

14. "I never really missed being a two legger... but the sea... I wish I could smell the sea again." The dog Rumbo, voiced by Samuel L. Jackson in Fluke

There are three instances of the same actor in two different movies here: Peter Riegert in Local Hero and Crossing Delancey,  Eric Stoltz in Mask and Fluke, and Richard Dreyfuss in Close Encounters and Jaws. If I'd thought of it, I'd have included Perlman's, "Where is my goddam shoe!?!" from Pacific Rim along with the Ice Pirates quote.

I may do this again, but with appearances in different movies by the same actor or actors. You know, on that day when I've got nothing else to do. This was fun!

DW FYI

When DW imports your LJ, if you ask it will bring your tags, all your posts, comments on those posts, and your flist. Each username on your subscribe/access list will connect to the *LJ* of that user through OpenID. As soon as you find out someone on your flist has a DW account, search on their username for "site and account" in the dropbox, and subscribe to their DW, and give them access to yours if you want to be mutual friends.

You aren't "friends" with anyone on your list at DW until you subscribe to their DW account and give them access to yours if you wish.

Just...FYI.

Also, I need to find out (1) if, and (B) how I can make a sticky post for my DW account. So far, no luck.
